The Festival of the Municipality of Preveza
During the long Greek summers, the Municipality of Preveza organizes a Festival named “Nikopolea”, the events of which take place in locations within the city as well as at the Roman Conservatory and the Castle of Pantokratoras next to Pantokratoras village.    

The Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Preveza, in particular, organizes various events like:
• Lectures
• Plays
• Concerts
• Exhibitions
• Dance and/or other performances

What it has managed by organizing all these events over the years, is actually to make the area attractive for summer visitors who are choosing Preveza in order to enjoy both their summer vacation and quality entertainment. The majority of these events are hosted by the Municipal Theatre of Preveza, an open air theatre, in the centre of the city and next to the sea, at the beautiful Castle of Pantokratoras. Many activities are also hosted by the Roman Conservatory of ancient Nikopolis, which are peak events, and at which history of the past meets with modern life. The people of the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Preveza are trying, and manage to organize notable events aiming to satisfy the cultural needs of the people in our area and also to attract viewers from every place in Greece. To this end many groups and events have taken place up to now. To name but a few: Stranglers, Goran Bregovic, Eric Burdon, Animals, Helen Karaindrou, the Greek group Pix Lax, Buena Vista Social Club etc.
