The theatre of Oiniades came to life again, after the silence of millennia, in 1986, when the performance of Aristophanes’ play, The Acharnians was staged. From then on, every year the Municipality of Oiniades organises a popular festival where performances of various Theatre companies from Greece are presented, as well as international conferences and seminars.
